The Wade Hampton girls basketball team suffered two region losses last week, 58-40 to Silver Bluff and 68-45 to Ridgeland.

Wade Hampton came out slow in the first half against the Bulldogs. The Devils were competitive but couldn't pull out a win.
Ta'Sha Campbell led the Lady Devils with 13 points and Tierra Washington was right behind her with 12.
Against Ridgeland, the Lady Red Devils were competitive in the first half and then started to give up in the third and fourth.
"It was a closely battled game for most of the game," said Ridgeland's coach Fred Toomer. "In the fourth quarter, we pulled away. Up until that point it was a close game. They did a good job."
The Lady Red Devils had a lot of turnovers and missed free throws and then Washington got into foul trouble. The lead scorer for the night was Campbell who had 15 points.
The Lady Red Devils host and Pelion on Friday and Barnwell next Tuesday.
"They are struggling too," said Gray of Pelion. "We have to win against ... Pelion to get a shot at the playoffs."
