High school baseball seasons end
All Hampton County high school baseball teams have completed 2016-17 baseball seasons.
Patrick Henry Academy
Coached by Blake Hodge, the Patrick Henry Academy Patriots ended their season after a five-inning blowout loss to Dorchester Academy Monday, May 9 at home, in Estill. The team fought hard all season, but the ineligibility of one of the team’s ace pitchers was the nail in the proverbial coffin for the Pat’s during the Lower State Finals against a strong Dorchester team.
Wade Hampon High School
The Wade Hampton High School Varsity baseball team ended their season with a 9-0 loss to Strom Thurmond High School on April 29 during a third round home playoff game. Newly hired head coach Joel Vaughn and his team of young athletes will look to continue on this year’s successes next season.
