Some telemarketer called me the other day and said I won an all expenses paid vacation to Las Vegas. I laughed myself silly and I told him "You couldn't pay me to go to Las Vegas." He was dumbfounded.
I, for one, have no desire to go to a place that has made prostitution and gambling legal. I can also honestly say seeing Wayne Newton is not a high priority on my list. About the only way you could get me to Las Vegas is if you resurrected Frank Sinatra and gave me a million dollars.
One of my college girlfriends went to Las Vegas with her husband and they both got propositioned by prostitutes practically every where they went. She said it was AWFUL and she would NEVER go back. I honestly don't know what she was expecting.
Additionally, I can honestly say I have no desire to go to San Francisco or Los Angeles. I personally think that Californians are a bunch of tree hugging, granola eating, soy drinking, vegan freaks who want to save animals instead of babies and want to make euthanasia and drugs legal. I think the whole United States would be a better place if California just fell of the map and into the ocean.
Seriously, I am sure there are nice NORMAL people from California, but I have never met one.
I also have no desire to go back to Texas. I don't know why people think it is so great. It is ugly with a bunch of scrub brush. I have been to San Antonia and the Alamo, big whoop. I hate architecture influenced by Hispanic culture and I get tired of southwest cuisine after about two days and just about everyone, except country music stars, look stupid in cowboy hats. I will never go back to Texas unless someone with my job makes me.
I also think most of Florida is ugly too and I absolutely despise Disney World! Words can not describe how I hate Disney World. Look, I love Disney movies, but that is about it. Standing in line for an hour to ride a 2 minute ride is not my idea of fun, but hell. If God sends me to hell I am quite certain it will look exactly like Disney World.
My whole childhood I wanted to go to Disney World. I pleaded and I begged and then we did go to see Mickey Mouse when I was twelve and I hated it.
I especially loathed the ride "It's a small world after all." The whole time you ride that ride these little puppets made to represent all the children in the world sing that insipid song over and over and over and over and over again. It seems like that ride lasts for a deafening hour. After I heard the song several times, I wished I had a ball bat and could knock each and every one of those puppets' little heads off.
My aunt, however, loved the ride. She asked me, my mom, and my brother if we wanted to ride it again. We all in unison yelled "NO!"
I personally know several people that just love Disney World and they go there every chance they get. I think they are a little touched in the head. Take for example my cousin who loves Disney World so much that she had her wedding there and she and her beloved wore Mickey Mouse ears as they had their first dance. The only reason I went back to Mickey Mouse hell, after vowing never to go back there again, is because I loved my cousin.
I think Disney World is the tacky capital of the world. I know she spent a lot of money on her wedding but you couldn't pay me any amount of money to get married there. Really, I don't think I would get married there if you offered me two million dollars.
No I am admittedly not one for vacations although there are a few places I would like to go and most of them are in Europe, but why on earth would you want to go anywhere else than the great state of South Carolina?
