Willie Joe Brabham
FAIRFAX - Mr. Willie Joe Brabham, 78, died Monday, March 1, 2010 at the University Hospital in Augusta, Ga.
Mr. Willie Joe Brabham, was born on July 1, 1931 in Hampton County, the son of the late Leon Brabham and the late Rhunell Brabham Johnson. He was educated in the Allendale County Public Schools. Willie Joe was employed by Corbett Plywood Corp. for many years and he enjoyed working on cars in his spare time. Even though, Willie Joe was a man of few words, he had many friends who will miss him dearly.
He was married to the late Edna Brooks Brabham; from this union, they were blessed with two sons, one son, Andy E. Brabham preceded him in death.
Surviving are: one daughter, Molinda (Dessie) Rollins, Fairfax; Two sons, Willie Joe Brabham, Jr., Fairfax and Elder Joseph Anthony (Wanda) Thomas, Orangeburg; Six sisters, Evang. Earlean Smoaks, Allendale; Annette Maddux, Brooklyn, NY; Gail (Toby) Smart, Estill; Margaret (Israel) Hughee, Varnville; Gloria (Alvin) Parrish, Fort Walton Beach, FL and Ernestine Capers, Varnville; Three Brothers, Sam Capers (Ruthie Lee) Point South; George Capers, Fort Walton Beach, FL; Poncie (Sharon) Capers, Wagon Branch; 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends; a devoted friend, Sarah Thomas, Fairfax.
Funeral services were held 1 p.m. Saturday, March 6 at Antioch Christian Church in Varnville.
Riley's Funeral Home, Hampton Chapel, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
