Verlie Mole Thomas

HAMPTON - Mrs. Verlie Mole Thomas, 95, died early Friday afternoon at the Hampton Regional Medical Center in Varnville after an extended illness. She was the widow of Mr. Guy Thomas.
Born October 18th, 1913 in Brunson, she was the daughter of the late Wyman Calvin Mole and Susie Harriott Mole. Mrs. Thomas was a homemaker, a lifelong member of Sandy Run Baptist Church, and a member of the Eastern Star.
Surviving are: one son, Wilbur Thomas and wife Betty of Hampton; one daughter Loraine T. Godley of Hampton formerly of Beaufort, one daughter-in-law: Lillian Crapse Thomas of Hampton, two brothers: Hurley Mole of North Charleston and Jack Mole of Estill, one sister: Marjorie Avant Varn of North Charleston. There are seven grandchildren: George, Chris, and Jade Godley of Beaufort, Ron, Stefan, and Michael Thomas of Hampton, and Susan T. Reed of Greenville, . There are nine great-grandchildren. Mrs. Thomas was predeceased by a son: Med Thomas, a son-in-law: Jack Godley, four brothers: Ulmer, J.C., Hoyt, and Odie Mole, and two sisters: Lucy M. McMillan, and Hattie M. Priester.
Funeral services were held Monday June 29, 2009 at 2 P.M. in the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home with burial in the Sandy Run Cemetery.
