Timmy R. Chisolm

WALTERBORO - Timmy R. Chisolm, 45, husband of Brenda C. Chisolm of Walterboro, SC, died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010 in the Colleton Medical Center, Walterboro.
Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 25, 2010 at 12 noon in the Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, Yemassee with burial in the church cemetery.
Born in April 1964, Savannah, Ga, he was son of Carrie B. Chisolm and the late Willie James Chisolm, Sr. He resided most of his life in the Jonesville community of Yemassee. He was one of five siblings and grew up in the midst of a large community of cousins and extended family. Timmy attended the public schools and was a graduate of the Walterboro High School, Walterboro, Class of 1982. He continued to pursue knowledge in his chosen field in many and various institutions of learning.
In his youth, Timmy accepted the Lord Jesus as his Savior and was united in membership with the Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, Yemassee under the pastor guidance of the late Rev. Mannie C. Chisolm. For the last fifteen years, he has been gainfully employed with the Parris Island Marine Corps Depot, Superintendent of the Guf Course. Timmy attended the affairs of his employ with great care and concern.
Surviving are: His wife, Brenda C. Chisolm, Walterboro; two sons, Rendon C. Chisolm and Jordanayh M.
Chisolm, Savannah; his daughter, Timarah C. Chisolm, Yemassee; two step-children, Keith A. Maloney, Jr., and Shaquetta E. Maloney, Charleston; a grandson, Deondrae Chisolm, Savannah; his mother, Carrie B. Chisolm, Yemassee; two sisters, Dianne (Charles) Francis, Ravenel; Aletha (Kevn) Whitfield, Savannah; sisters-and brother-in-law, Hattie Mae (Walter) Ellis, Martha (Esaw) Williams, Shirley (Rank) Pinckney, Emily Mitchell, Rose Ann Cunningham, Rosa Logan, Felicia Cunningham, and Joe Cunningham, all of Yemassee, and Evelyn Cunningham, Miami, Fla., numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and caring friends.
Young Funeral Home of Yemassee was in charge of the arrangements.
