Susan Eugenia Cook
HAMPTON - Miss Susan Eugenia Cook, 89, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 27, 2010 in Lexington Medical Center.
Miss Cook was born in Marion on February 14th, 1921. She was a daughter of the late John Edward Cook and the late Emily Cox Cook. Miss Cook was a member of Hampton United Methodist Church and retired from Westinghouse of Hampton after forty-five years of service.
Surviving are: her brother-in-law, Rupert R. Gaddy, Jr. of Fork; her sister-in-law, Wanda E. Cook of Harbor Island; and a number of nieces and nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and loving cousins.
Miss Cook is preceded in death by her three brothers, Dr. Pierce E. Cook, Sr., John E. Cook, Jr., and William A. Cook; and her three sisters, Reverend Eulalia Cook Gonzales, Ovaline Cook, and Betty Cook Gaddy.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, March 3, in the Scranton United Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Cook Scholarship Fund, Post Office Box 5087, Columbia, SC 29250.
Brockington Funeral Home, Lake City, was in charge of the arrangements.
