Susan “Sis” Runell Gooding Terry
BRUNSON - Mrs. Susan "Sis" Runell Gooding Terry, 85, of Bert Terry Road, died Sunday morning, March 7, 2010 at her residence after an extended illness.
Born March 21, 1924 in Brunson (Pondtown Community), she was the daughter of the late Homer Albert Gooding and Alice Lee Terry Gooding. She had retired as a seamstress with Estill Manufacturing Company and was a member of St. Paul Primitive Baptist Church in Hampton. She will be remembered by family and friends as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Married to the late Arthur Bertrum "Bert" Terry, Sr., she is survived by one son, Bertrum Terry and wife Betty of Hampton; two daughters, Jackie Bass and husband Jerry of North Augusta, SC and Susan Murdaugh and husband Vernon of Hampton; and two sisters-in-law, Norine Terry of Brunson and Addie Mae Gooding of Hampton. There are 7 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by 5 brothers, Amos, Horace, Woodrow, Ernest and J. C. Gooding.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 9 at 11 AM in St. Paul Primitive Baptist Church, with burial in the Rivers Cemetery near Brunson.

Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home of Hampton was in charge of the arrangements.
