HAMPTON - Stephanie Lucillia Jackson, 32, died Friday, June 22, 2009 at Colleton Regional Medical Center in Walterboro.
Stephanie was born in Hampton on Jan. 25, 1977. She was a daughter of William and Mary Ann Orr Jackson. At an early age, she became a member of New Castle Baptist Church. She served as president of the Adult Choir and was a member of the Hampton County Community Choir. She was a 1995 graduate of Wade Hampton High School and furthered her education at the Technical College of the Lowcountry in Beaufort and Midlands Technical College in Columbia.
One sister, Katrina Jackson, preceded her in death.
Surviving are: Her mom and dad, William and Mary Ann Jackson; one son, Wiliam Alexander Jackson; one sister, Jennifer (Maurice) Henderson; one nephew, Maurice Terrell Henderson, Jr.; maternal grandparents, Deacon Charlie (Lucille) Orr of Brunson; aunts, Barbara (James) Boles (Godparents) of Varnville; Marilyn Orr-Young, of Varnville; Ella Mae Jackson of Estill; Mary (Willie) Jones of Stoneville, N.J.; Elouise Jackson of Allendale; uncles, John Jackson, Jr. of Estill; Curtis (Shirley) Jackson of Luray; Joseph (Shirley) Jackson of Furman; Lawrence (Brenda) Jackson of Scotia; great aunts Ann Coast of Savannah, Ga.; Margaret Orr and Etta Mae Orr, both of Brunson; great uncles, Sammie (Coretta) Orr of Brunson; Willie (Willie Mae) Sanders of Estill; God-aunts, Martha Youmans, Catherine (James) Jackson, Louvenia (Gene) Gibson; two Godchildren Jayden Young and Irish Youmans; a host of cousins, special cousins, Natasha Boles and Elder Tracy Boles, Joseph Young, Salacthia Coast, Renee and Ruthie Jackson, and Dashay Y. Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 17 at New Castle Baptist Church in Pineland with burial in the Cypress Creek Cemetery.
Riley's Funeral Home of Hampton was in charge of arrangements.
