Shelly Randolph Mays
FAIRFAX - Shelly Randolph Mays, 59, died Monday, Feb. 22, 2010 at the University Hospital in Augusta, Ga.
Shelly Randolph Mays was born in Allendale County to Mr. Hezekiah Saxon and the late Mrs. Ethel
Marie Mays on November 11, 1950. He was educated in the public schools in Allendale County. He attended the United House of Prayer for All People, Fairfax. Shelly was employed with the Queen Carpet Plant and L&M Industrial Services in Fairfax.
Mr. Mays was preceded in death by his grandparents, Shelly and Ether Mays, a sister, Cathy and son Anthony.
Surviving are: His wife, Beatrice Cope-Mays, Fairfax, South Carolina; Father, Mr. Hezekiah Saxon, Miami, FL two sons, Derrick Mays, New York, NY; and Gregory Mays, New York, NY; two daughters, Vionna Mays, Fairfax; Tamisha Mays, New York, NY; one aunt, Ellarie M. Reed, Fairfax; one uncle, Willie (Wilhemenia) Mays, Fairfax, South Carolina; four sisters, Carol Mays, New York, NY; Marvine Mays of New York, NY; Verkechia (Ronald) Johnson, New York, NY; Linda (Charles) Lawrence, New York, NY; six grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, a devoted friend, Shirley Badger, and many friends.
Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Saturday, February 27 at the United House of Prayer for All People.
Riley's Funeral Home, Hampton Chapel, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
