Ruth C. Sharpe

NORTH - Ruth C. Sharpe, 78, of North, died Friday, August 20, 2010.
Burial was in Sunny Vista Church of God Cemetery.
Mrs. Sharpe was born in Hampton County, a daughter of the late James Henry and Eunice Irene Barnes Carr. She was a member of North Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Survivors include her husband, Major H. Sharpe, of the home; children: Barbara Sharpe, of North; Harold (Cheryl) Sharpe, of Brunswick, GA; Albert (Belinda) Sharpe, of Gilbert; Chris (Eddy) Strickland, of North; grandchildren: Jason (Cindy) Brinson; Kayla Proctor; Amanda and Rebecca Strickland; Dustin and Devin Davis; and Tamara Shumpert; great-grandchildren: J.C. and Connor Brinson; Harleigh, Shelby and Leyland Davis; Brittany Dickinson, and Carley Shumpert; a sister: Mrs. Aleane Walls, of Varnville; a twin brother, Rudolph (Margaret) Carr, of North; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Jean Carr, of Orangeburg; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Fred Carr, and a grandson, Chad Brinson.
The family would like to thank the staff of Laurel Baye Healthcare of Orangeburg for the care they provided Mrs. Sharpe, and also thanks to the Community Hospice staff, especially Jessica and Kayla.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, August 23, 2010, at North Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Ashton Feagin, Rev. Robbie Parnell, Rev. Walter Gleaton, and Rev. Thomas Brookshire officiating.
Memorials may be made to North Pentecostal Holiness Church Building Fund.
The Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home in North was in charge of the arrangements.
