Ruby Lee Brown
EARLY BRANCH - Ruby Lee Brown, 86, widow of Peter Douglas Brown, of Early Branch, died Thursday, March 11 in the Colleton Medical Center, Walterboro.
Born January 13, 1924, Toombs County, GA, she was the daughter of John Reid and Maud Sharp Reid. She was a homemaker and a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church, Early Branch where she served on the Usher Board.
Surviving are: two sons, Richard Brown (Lucille) and Joseph Brown (Stephanie); two granddaughters reared in the home, Nesafaye Frederick and Cassandra "Scooter" Altenor, Early Branch; three sisters and three brothers, Bessie Williams and Viola Frazier, both of Varnville; Willie Mae Reid, Yemassee; Willie T. Reid, Fayetteville, NC, Sam (Wandalee) Reid, Augusta, GA, and Hardee Reid, New York; 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, eight great, great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 17, 12 noon in the Bethlehem Baptist, Early Branch, with burial in the Harmonia Cemetery, Varnville.
Young Funeral Home of Yemassee was in charge of the arrangements.
