RIDGELAND - Myrtle Malphrus Walker, 80, died Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at her home.
Mrs. Walker was born in Grays on September 5, 1929 to the late Percy Tuten and Alma Cleland Tuten. She was a seamstress employed by Holiday Ware for 31 years. She was a widow of the late Martin Hoover Malphrus and a member of Great Swamp Baptist Church. She was the seventh born of 13 children. She enjoyed cooking for her family.
Surviving are: Her husband, Woodrow Walker of Ridgeland; five children, Carl (Susan) Malphrus of Hampton, SC; Irwin (Pat) Malphrus of Ridgeland; Charles (Bernice) Malphrus of Ridgeland; Bernard Malphrus of Ridgeland; John (Rhonda) Malphrus of Ridgeland; two brothers, three sisters, seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 3:00 pm, Friday, February 19, 2010 in the Great Swamp Baptist Church, Ridgeland with burial in the church cemetery.
Sauls Funeral Home of Ridgeland was in charge of the arrangements.
