Mary Lou Reavis Sauls

HAMPTON - Mrs. Mary Lou Reavis Sauls, 92, of Holly Street in Hampton died early Thursday afternoon at Beaufort Memorial Hospital in Beaufort, after an extended illness. She was the widow of Lucas Henry Sauls.
Born August 20th, 1916 in Franklin, Tennessee she was the daughter of the James A. Reavis and Susie Katherine Parton Reavis. Mrs. Sauls was a Homemaker, and a lifelong member of Hopewell Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, and was a member of the Missionary Society and Senior Friends. She was a devoted wife, a loving and caring Christian mother and grandmother who loved the lord.
Surviving are: one son, James H. Sauls and wife Shirley of Hampton; two daughters: Mary Nell Godwin and husband Herman of Beaufort, and Joann S. Long of Hampton; one brother: James A. Reavis of Hampton; two sisters: Ruby R. Moss of Americas, GA, and Edna R. Fulks of Batesville, AK. She was predeceased by one son, Dan Sauls. There are six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and 1 great great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Monday June 29, 2009 at 11 A.M. in the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home. Burial was in the Hampton Cemetery.
