Mary Lee Deloach

FAIRFAX - Mary Lee Deloach, 81, died Sunday, March 7, 2010 at Allendale County Hospital.
Mrs. Deloach was born in Fairfax on Feb. 20, 1929. She was a daughter of the late Sonny Brown and Mattie Williams. She attended Allendale-Fairfax Colored High School and was a member of St. Luke Baptist Church. She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Nathaniel Deloach. In 1957, she moved to Brooklyn, New York where she was employed as a lampshade maker. She joined Mount Arat Church. She was a Sunday School Teacher, Choir Member and Chairman of all Presidents. In 1990, she relocated back to South Carolina and reunited with her home church, St. Luke Baptist Church, where she served as a Missionary, until death.
She was preceded in death by one son, Huley L. Deloach.
Surviving are: One daughter, Lenora (Raymond) Hill of Brooklyn, N.Y.; one sister, Edith (Willie) Lewis of Fairfax; nine grandchildren, Irvin (Ameena), Irick (Lateefa) and Andre, all of Brooklyn, N.Y.; Quincy (Tonya), Gary (Diane), Christopher (Kimberley), Tawanna Harvey of Jacksonville, Fla.; Pamela and tiffany, both of Fairfax; 14 great grandchildren; one Goddaughter, Berita Rives; her good friends, Mary Alice Ritter, Friddie Badger and Maroma Gist and a host of loving family members and caring friends.
Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Sunday, March 14 at St. Luke Baptist Church in Fairfax with burial in the church cemetery.
M. F. Riley Funeral Home of Fairfax was in charge of the arrangements.
