ESTILL - Mrs. Martha Muriel Beckham Johnson, 75, of Thorn Circle near Estill, died early Tuesday morning February 2, 2010 at Roper Hospital in Charleston, after a brief illness.
Born August 15th, 1934 in Brunswick, GA she was the daughter of the late Lester Beckham and Elizabeth Dowling Beckham. Mrs. Johnson was a Secretary for Corrin F. Bowers and Son for many years as well as a Homemaker. She will be remembered for her love of her family, and will be deeply missed. She was the widow of Mr. Carl Johnson.
Survivors include one daughter: Cheryl A. Johnson of Estill, three sons: Robert A. Johnson and wife Robin of Estill, Randy E. Johnson of Charleston, and Carl R. Johnson and wife Sarah of Brunswick, GA, one brother: Howard E. Beckham of St. Simons Island, GA. There are six grandchildren: Alan, Samantha, and Kyle Johnson, and Stephanie J. Deloach (Blake) all of Estill, and Tug and Buck Johnson both of Brunswick, GA.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday February 4th, 2010 at 2 P.M. in the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Lawtonville Cemetery.
