WEST VIRGINIA, VA. - Kevin Gerod Daniels, 33, formerly of Yemassee, died Jan. 12, 2010 at the Wheeling Hospital in West Virginia, Va.
Kevin is the son of Sharen Daniels Frazier and the late Edward Daniels. He was born on December 28, 1976 in Beaufort. His childhood was spent in his hometown of Barkersville. He was a graduate of Wade Hampton High School, Varnville. After graduating from high school, Kevin was able to fulfill his life long dream of becoming a truck driver. He was first employed with US Express and worked for this company and several other trucking companies before staring his own company, Daniels Trucking. Kevin drove long distant trucks for over fifteen years. Kevin loved to make people laugh. He would sometimes call friends and family and disguise his voice posing as a bill collector trying to make people think that they were past due on their bills. With his comical personality, his cousins named him "Big Worm". He also loved to spend time with his family and friends and made sure to stay in touch with them while on the road. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Daniels.
Surviving are: his mother and father, Sharen and Henry Frazier, Early Branch, three sisters, Shawanda Daniels, Georgetown, Sonya Frazier, Boston, MA, and LaShawn Thompson, Yemassee; six brothers, Joshua Daniels, Hardeeville, Henry Frazier, Jr., Bellevue, Nebraska, Tyrone (Felicia) Frazier, Varnville, Steven (Monica) Frazier, Hemet, Califronia, Stacy (Stephanie) Frazier, Early Branch, and Cornelius Frazier, Atlanta, GA; his grandmother, Hythina Hamilton, Early Branch, he was predeceased by his grandparents, James Hamilton, Jr., and Edgar (Martha) Daniels-Wilson; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and a special friend, Jessica Garrison.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, Jan. 17 at 2:30 pm in the Family Worship Center in Yemassee. Burial was in the Springhill Cemetery, Barkersville.
Young Funeral Home of Yemassee was in charge of the arrangements.
