Elizabeth "Lizzy" Bellinger
AUSTELL, GA - Elizabeth "Lizzy" Bellinger, 63, died Thursday, November 3, 2011 at her residence.
Elizabeth "Lizzy" Bellinger was born on September 20, 1948 in Estill (Hampton County), South Carolina to Mr. Jacob Bellinger and the late Mrs. Albertha Orr Bellinger. Her education began in the public schools of Hampton County. She was a 1966 graduate of Estill Training School. She did further studies at Claflin University, formerly Claflin College in Orangeburg, South Carolina. She enjoyed working with her hands and was very skillful at arts, crafts, and sewing. She joined Ebenezer Holy Church nearly 10 years ago. She was a member of the pulpit committee and Chairperson of the Pastor's Anniversary Committee. After her health began to fail, she relocated to Atlanta, Georgia to be near her beloved daughter Chanda. She also lived in Columbia and was cared for by her three sisters who took very good care of her. Lizzy and her daughter had a special kind of love. Their love surpassed all time. They had an unbreakable bond. She was a wonderful mother and there was nothing she wouldn't do for Chanda "Pooh." Lizzy loved her family dearly. To know her was to love her.
Lizzy leaves to cherish her loving and everlasting memories, of her life, to her family; mainly her daughter, Chanda L. Bellinger, Atlanta, GA; Her father, Mr. Jacob Bellinger, Columbia, SC; Three sisters: Rebecca Hawes, Augusta, GA, Birdie (Gary) Gresham and Rachel Trapp both of Columbia, SC; Her sister in love; Isabelle Thomas, Columbia, SC.; Two brothers: Duncan Bellinger (Free Love), Estill, SC and Jacob Bellinger (Jan), Estill, SC; a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 9, 2011 12:00 P.M. at Ebenezer Holiness Church, Lena, South Carolina Bishop John Bowers, Pastors, Evangelist Lillie Rose Walker, Eulogist. Burial was in the church cemetery.
M. F. Riley's Funeral Home of Fairfax was in charge of the arrangements.
