VARNVILLE - Mr. Eddie Merickie "Rickie" Peeples, 49, of 360 Kerrison Street, Varnville, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday at the Hampton Regional Hospital. Mr. Peeples was born November 6, 1959 in Hampton County and was the son of Awilder Bowers Peeples and the late Eddie Peeples. He was a member of the Moselle Church of God of Prophecy. He loved riding his horses. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and had a giving heart.
Surviving in addition to his mother of Varnville are: his wife of twenty-five years, Regina Cook Peeples; a son, Eddie M. "Rick" Peeples; a daughter, Senior Airman (USAF) Tiffany Elaine Peeples; two sisters, Lynn Gray and Mattie Peeples, all of Varnville; and two grandchildren, Kaylie Blake and Gage Jackson, both of Estill.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home, 1074 Yemassee Highway, Varnville, SC 29944. 803.943.5016.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, July 3, in the Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Varnville Chapel. Burial will be in the Peeples Cemetery.
