YEMASSEE - Betty Ann Roberts Locke, 55, died Friday, Feb. 26, 2010 at Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro. Mrs. Locke was born on May 22, 1954 in Walterboro. She was a daughter of the late Esau Roberts, Sr. and Mary Lee Francis Roberts,. She attended the Walterboro High School and resided her entire life in the Yemassee area. She was a member of the Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, Yemassee. For several years she was employed with the Auld Brass Plantation, Yemassee, and the Ready Maid Services of Hilton Head Island.
Surviving are: her daughters and son, Toni (Harry) Washington, Catholic Hill, SC, LonDon (Aaron) Fennell, Yemassee, SC, and Michael (Rosa) Primus, Evans, GA; grandchildren, Porsharee Washington, Damian Fennell, Harry Washington II, KeiDawndra Locke-Primus, Skylar Fennell, Malachi Locke-Primus, KeiAwanna Locke-Primus; three brothers, Eli (Josie) Roberts, Esau (Kim) Roberts, Jr., Larry Roberts, all of Yemassee, SC; two sisters, Carolyn Brown, Yemassee, SC, and Joyce Smalls, Varnville, SC; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 4, 1:00 pm in the Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, Yemassee with burial in the church cemetery.
