ALLENDALE - Mr. Arthur Cook died Friday, March 12, 2010 at Heritage Healthcare of Lilburn, Georgia after an extended illness.
Born September 26th, 1919 in Hampton County he was the son of the late Frank C. Cook and Addie Simmons Cook. Mr. Cook worked in maintenance with the Holiday Inn in Allendale, SC and later retired from Carolina Commercial Bank. He was the widower of Ruth Bowers Cook and Azilee Platts Cook. He was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon.
Survivors include one daughter: Margaret Azilee Cook Bishop and husband Leroy of Norcross, GA.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 15, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home. Burial was in Hickory Grove Cemetery near Brunson.
Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home of Hampton was in charge of the arrangements.
