Fennell Elementary students grow vegetables for good

The Fennell Elementary School's Garden Club ended the school year by helping others. Sixth grade students, with help from school principal Willie Coker and teacher Corrie Frohnapfel, cultivated the one acre garden behind the school and donated the harvested vegetables to members of the community.

This is the sixteenth year for the FES Garden Club and students continue to enjoy time spent outside the classroom learning about science.

It's been a great experience," said Amari Riley, 12, a sixth grade student at FES. "It's been a fun experience to get dirty and so something that we are not used to doing."
