Where is the update about what happened in court in Fl to Harvey??

I thought we where to be updated after the court decided if Harvey was going to be charged or not with giving alcohol to minor students from Patrick Henry while on senior trip to Fl.  Well where is the update??  We know that Bostick had decided to plead guilty so we know her fate and what took place there.

I wasn't sure what the date

I wasn't sure what the date was so I started looking up the original story... well I cannot find it, even using the keywords: "Harvey, Bostick, drinking, Florida, Patrick, PHA, seniors" in the search bar.

 

I'm morbidly curious about any news as well.

Well I just went to Yahoo and looked it up..  I did not go through every article as there are over 3000 but anyways if I remember correctly it was suppose to be the 28th of May.  If nothing hits this site soon I may just make a phone call to Fl to find out the outcome of the hearing. 

Just like I originally said in my comment about when it first hit it would be swept under the carpet locally since it was about so called people of importance in Hampton County.

I don't think it was swept under the rug... I remember there being a lot of people upset that it was not if I remember correctly.

Last weekend the guardian webpage was the victim of a monster spam assault that was digging up articles from as far back as Jan 2009 to advertise multiple types of insurance and in the upheaval & cleanup it probably just got caught up in the mess.

Certainly not the Guardian.  They have received much grief (and much deserved praise) for shining a light on this unfortunate matter. Apparently when you say "swept under the carpet locally" you must be referring to the radio stations in Hampton and Allendale.  From what I understand, they are one of the very few news outlets that ignored the story. 

PHA / Florida incident

I guess if I haven't learned anything else in my 50 years.....is that there isn't one person that if had the luxury of hindsight, wouldn't change something they did in the past.  Sometimes its little mistakes with little consequenses....and sometimes its big mistakes with big consequenses......I am sure that both ladies would change what happened if they could go back but that is not possible and  I believe both have suffered enough.  A little mercy and kindness is needed and let us all learn from someone elses mistakes!

They will be fined at worst... if they were residents of Florida maybe a little more but not by much.

Honestly there should be more concern about their future with the school. I mean would anyone recommend them to chaperone for an out of state trip again in the future?
