Where the Buck stops

Guns, lights, action ... sounds like something from a movie scene. Many of us knew it would only be a matter of time when the Coroner would begin making requests. He can ask for all he desires, but the bottom line is ... the BUCK STOPS WITH COUNTY COUNCIL.

In reference to an office consolidation so the Coroner could have space, that decision had to be made by County Council.

 I would like to have a lot of things, but budget restraints mandate I must live within my means. So, County Council, you are sitting at the helm. Think about the taxpayers before taking budgetary actions.

Marcia, thank you for this! Anyone who re-elects council members who cave into unnecessary and wasteful demands such as this coroner and his deputy have presented need not even vote. Voting is a priveledge, which must only be done after knowledgable and educated research and information presents you with the person most right for the job. This was not how Mr Washington was elected, but it will become my personal goal in EVERY election that a council member is up for re-election if they dishonor we the taxpayers by going against our will as our representatives.
